DIY: Sweet and Sour Scrub

It’s super simple and easy to make and use. This scrub comes in handy for people with discolored and uneven skin, dull skin, large pores, or acne. If you’re using this on your face, be sure to apply before bed (so your skin can heal) and before going out, apply sunscreen.
What you need:
1 tablespoon honey
1 table spoon brown sugar
1/4 table spoon lemon juice
Mix together ingredients in a small container and apply to a freshly cleaned face. Rub into skin for about 2-3 minutes, and rinse with warm water. Be sure to apply moisturizer afterward, and then sunscreen. Allow this scrub to take effect after several uses. Enjoy! :)

Product Review: Physicians Formula Nude Palette

This is a cheaper version of the Naked palette by Urban Decay.

It’s costs no more than $10.00 at your local drug store.

This product is very silky on the skin, but in order to get dramatic pigment, a lot of it should be applied. I love this product and would suggest it to anyone looking for a nice nude palette that is at an affordable price. Physicians Formula is also a great brand because it’s made with the intent not harm your skin.

DIY: Hydrating Carrot Mask

It’s that time of year when your skin gets dry and damaged, so treat yourself with an extremely easy and quick home remedy.
You will need:
1 Carrot
1 Egg Yolk
Boil the carrot until soft, and mash into a small bowl. Mix in your egg yolk and you’re ready to go! Be sure to have a clean face before applying. Let sit for 20-30 minutes (or as long as you have, if you’re as busy as I am ;) ) and rinse with warm water. Apply your favorite moisturizer afterward and enjoy your silky soft skin:)

Hey guys,

I know I’ve neglected this blog for a few months now, only a few weeks after creating it. And I’m really sorry:/ Life just got kinda crazy. My best friend and I made this together just to have a little fun and share a lot of the remedies we used ourselves. Recently, her and her entire family passed away, and it’s hard to see a lot of her posts on here. Soon I’ll be revamping and posting more, it’s what we had planned to do this summer anyway. :) Thanks for being such awesome followers! <3

DIY: Home Made Concealer

What You’ll Need:

a small container (an empty lip-balm container will do)

your favorite foundation

Pour a small amount of tried-and-true foundation into your container. Let it stand open, lid off and covered with cheesecloth to keep out dust and other airborne pests, for approximately 2-3 days (depending on oil or water content of the product) in your refrigerator.

Now not only do you have a virtually free concealer, but a virtually free concealer in the exact shade of your foundation and the piece of mind that you will not experience any reactions.

DIY: Home Made Blush

Pick your fruit of choice, anything the color that you want.

Peel and dry that fruit (if necessary).

Juice the fruit. You could use a juicing machine or just do it with your hands, just get all the juice into a small bowl.

Add a few drops of the juice into two table spoons of rice flour. Mix it together and add more drops until you get your desired shade.

Mix it thoroughly and spread on a plate to dry.

Store in an old makeup container.

Enjoy your fruity complexion!

DIY: Home made bronzer

How to make your own portable bronzer compact:

Choose an Empty Makeup Case

Locate your case. I had an empty makeup case from ages ago that I had kept for future use. Wash it out.

Pour in Cinnamon

Pour some cinnamon into the case (Not too much)

Add Sugar (Powdered)

Pour some powdered sugar into the case. The amount will depend on how light you want the mixture to be for your skin. Mix Together the powders. I used a paint brush for this part. Add an Essential Oil to the mix. Only to firm the powers together and smell good! Apply and Enjoy Apply with a brush and enjoy! This project is a great way to bronze your skin with some items from around your house.

Note: This is basically a loose powder, so carrying it around in your purse isn’t the best idea! This is more for if you run out, or don’t want to use any your prized brands for a day at the beach, etc.
